Black pastors humble enough to fight...

Error message

Luther, Calvin, and Cranmer didn't choose the battle or the hill it was fought on. The Roman Catholic hierarchy made both choices. They sent Tetzel out from Rome to raise money for their Sistine Chapel by selling indulgences. Martin Luther merely saw their choice and favored them with a reply. He went out to the battlefield on which their Goliath was strutting and he cut off Goliath's head. Luther defended Scripture's doctrine of justification by faith alone by opposing Tetzel's indulgences and he fought because he was a man of peace. The battle was the work needed to restore the Church's unity, purity, and peace.

Men of God today aren't choosing the battle or the battlefield any more than Luther did...

When the Reformed seminary hierarchies command pastors to gag the Word of God by reducing every passage of Scripture to John 3:16; when the Redeemer hierarchies gag Genesis 1-3 in the service of their idol, scientism; when Indiana Governor Mike Pence gags the Church, demanding She not exercise Her conscience publicly to distinguish between sodomy and chastity, lesbianism and modesty; when the Presbyterian Church (USA) sends forth ministers to use God's Name and Church to pronounce a blessing on the habitual sodomitic intercourse being promoted as "marriage equality"; at such times men of God set aside by the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands and prayer come out on the battlefield and fight to protect the Name and Bride of Christ.

These men haven't chosen the battle or the battlefield. The wicked are making all the choices and the righteous are merely showing up. Our King is Jesus and we are cheerful warriors against every earthly power that vaunts himself against the unity, purity, and peace of His Church.

With this cheerful disposition, the men of God of the National Black Church Initiative just issued the following battle cry and every servant of God gives thanks they are humble enough to fight...

The National Black Church Initiative (NBCI), a faith-based coalition of 34,000 churches comprised of 15 denominations and 15.7 million African-Americans, has broken its fellowship with Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) following its recent vote to approve same-sex marriage.

The Presbyterian General Assembly, the top legislative body of the PCUSA, voted last June to revise the constitutional language defining marriage. This arbitrary change of Holy Scripture is a flagrantly pretentious and illegitimate maneuver by a body that has no authority whatsoever to alter holy text.
Rev. Anthony Evans, NBCI President noted:

NBCI and its membership base are simply standing on the Word of God within the mind of Christ. We urge our brother and sisters of the PCUSA to repent and be restored to fellowship.

PCUSA's manipulation represents a universal sin against the entire church and its members. With this action, PCUSA can no longer base its teachings on 2,000 years of Christian scripture and tradition, and call itself a Christian entity in the body of Christ.  It has forsaken its right by this single wrong act.

Apostle Paul warns us about this when he declared in Galatians 1:8 that there are those who will preach another gospel. "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. ... For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

No church has the right to change the Word of God. By voting to redefine marriage PCUSA automatically forfeits Christ's saving grace. There is always redemption in the body of Christ through confession of faith and adhering to Holy Scripture.

In this case, PCUSA deliberately voted to change the Word of God and the interpretation of holy marriage between one man and one woman. This is why we must break fellowship with them and urge the entire Christendom to do so as well.

Since I was ordained in this denomination the NCBI is condemning, I might be allowed a single remark on the new level of sacrilege and blasphemy it has reached with this latest action claiming to bless ritualized sodomitic intercourse in the Name of God. The apostasy of this denomination was not accomplished by liberals, but by famous card-carrying Evangelical pastors who were more concerned about their reputations among men and their financial security than the souls they were called to care for and protect—souls who had been purchased with the precious Blood of Jesus.

I give this witness against these men, not only for their sake and the sake of their sheep, but also for the sake of every man today who is called as a shepherd to give up our lives for the sheep. May our Holy God find us faithful as our Godly brothers of the National Black Church Initiative have here demonstrated their own faithfulness.
