Unlike a slew of Evangelicals, I have never been a supporter of Donald Trump. The man repulses me and has for years (see 2006, 2010, 2015, 2015, 2016 and 2016). No man who's ever worked with his hands for a living or spent a moment in the locker room of a public high school or frat house is surprised by the male degradation on display in The Donald's bragging.
Meanwhile, two men are running for the White House. And make no mistake—Donald Trump and Bill Clinton are perfectly suited to one another.
You want a man in the White House who objectifies women and lives the life of an alleycat? Take your pick and your choice doesn't matter...
Heads you win, tails you win.
But while the coin's still in the air spinning, let me ask a question: who poses more of a threat to the moral fiber of our nation—the alley cat or the woman who's made her peace with the moral degradation of her husband? Her grandson and granddaughter's grandfather? Her daughter's father?
So enough with this hypocritical posturing. From the very beginning, every last one of us knew the choice we were eyeballing as it approached. There were no surprises here, no bait-and-switch.
If I had a gun to my head and was forced to make a choice of one of these two, I could make a good case for holding my nose and pulling the lever for either.
So could you.
Grow up and stop simpering about the horror of it all. The horror is very old. And really, would you prefer Tim Cook? He's never made lewd comments about bedding a woman.
On the other hand, how about if we all write in Mike Pence?
