Johnny Rocker and Dennis Rodman vs. Abby Wambach and Billie Jean King...

Error message

We've never had a more perfectly matched set of candidates for the presidency of these United States.

An article in Jeff Bezos's Washington Post this morning was trashing The Donald for the sports figures who have endorsed him. The writer ended his litany of The Donald's sportsmen hall of shame... pitcher John Rocker, whose comments about minorities and gays overshadowed his pitching career; and of course, Dennis Rodman, the colorful former basketball player who counts North Korean leader Kim Jong-un as one of his friends.

They’re athletes who stood up to authority, whose words and actions shocked, who toed the line of decency and then often smeared it beyond recognition.

Yes yes; precisely. And speaking of "smearing decency beyond recognition," the Post went on to point out that Secretary HIllary Rodham Clinton...

has recently retired soccer player Abby Wambach [and that] Billie Jean King campaigned with Clinton in Iowa...

So now, which candidate's sports celebrities are more indecent? More repulsive?

Although saying so could be perceived as ungentlemanly as Dennis Rodman, tuning a piano is necessary for the wellbeing of the audience and pastors are called to tune public perceptions and judgements. Jesus did it. The Apostle Paul did it. St. Augustine did it. Calvin did it. How can we refuse to do it?

The Post disses the Donald with this punditry:

Political analysts say Trump has done a particularly good job of using athletes and coaches who reflect the same attributes he’s trying to project to voters...

If The Donald, even more so the Rodham Clinton: her women reflect the same attributes she's trying to project.

Abby Wambach and Billie Jean King are a matched pair in being about the most immodest—indeed the most repulsive—women U.S. sports have ever produced. Both publicly identify themselves by their shame of engaging in sexual intercourse with other women.

So now, again: Donald's Johnny Rocker and Dennis Rodman vs. The Rodham's Abby Wombaugh and Billie Jean King.

Take your pick and may the best man win.
