Adoption is like church planting...

Error message

In 2015, I'm planning to move with my family to plant a church in Cincinnati. In the meantime, we just completed our adoption of Moses from Ethiopia. With both of those things on my mind, it's no surprise that I found some things in common between them. That was the topic of my most recent newsletter. Here is a brief excerpt.

In a lot of ways, adoption is like church planting. You never know how long it will take or whether you will finally succeed. Both require sacrifice and a lot of work. Many people don't understand the point, or share your vision. Some people will even disapprove, but many more will support you. If God blesses it though, the outcome is a growing family.

Joseph and his wife, Heidi, have five children, Tate, Eliza Jane, Moses, Fiona and Annabel. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and Clearnote Pastors College. He is currently planting Christ Church in Cincinnati with several other families.
