I love the boys responding to Dad's hamming. The 12th was the cherry on top!

We were so close...

Close, but no cigar.

Love,

I love quoting child murderers. There's no better way to expose their materialism, blood lust, and hatred for everything good than to use their own words. If you go to the website of the family in the video, you'll find this note sent to them through their "Contact" link.

I would rather have had my tax dollars go for some abortions in your hideous oversized family- than have to pay for your selfish excessiveness every year through your child tax credits- time to pay your fair share buddy- "give to Caesar what is Caesar's".

Greedy Violent Republicans Suck-----

May God have mercy and open his eyes. How I thank God for Grandma Spaetti, Grandma Bell, and Ruthie Loehrlein who demonstrated from my infancy the beauty of a woman giving herself to fruitfulness in marriage. And I thank God for my pastors who, after I became a Christian as an adult, gave me the words to understand the fruitfulness I had gone ga-ga over as a child. And I thank God for my dear wife -- the mother of our 6 living children -- who reminds me of this beauty every day. Glory be to God!

This isn't really a family of twelve. There are two parents and I only count nine kids. We win! We win!

What a delightful family! Although I don't think the size of a couple's family is anyone's business, large families do seem to get asked incredibly rude questions about the size of their families these days. It happened to one of my sisters and her husband frequently and they had a "mere" 6.

Oops! I meant that my sis and her husband had 6 children, of course.

Except God's and his shepherds:

And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth." (Genesis 9:1)

My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. (John 15:8)

Two comments:

1. It is pretty obvious when a couple or a church is being unfruitful. Birth control is one of those things we don't talk about but the results are obvious.

2. I have mentioned this before: I wonder if being unfruitful is something that the elders should address with a particular couple. Of course, that presupposes an involved eldership and faithful couples among other things.

I used to be apologetic for our three or four. Thankfully the Lord has given me pastors and elders who remind me of the beauty of God's blessing in children. And in having my thinking trained in godliness, I have come to say when asked how many children we have, "Only six!" May God preserve this heritage for his own purposes.

This brought tears to my eyes! God bless this faithful couple and their many children.
