World Cup predictions...

Yikes, I think he's right.

Forgive me if something is flying way over my head, but what is he right about? That entry was written a few days before the 2010 World Cup semifinal. Those weren't predictions at all.

Well, I think I went into reading the blog entry with the wrong expectations. I was still thrown off by a few things.

What I found interesting was his observations about sports and race, including how rich whites in N. American pride ourselves on being fans of the beautiful game. We think it gives us diversity street cred.

Interesting, in S.A., it's cricket and rugby for whites, and soccer for blacks.

Anyhow, the predictions are racial and almost certainly will hold true for 2014, as well. Really, soccer is the last fortress of nativism.
