Taylor, Mary Lee, and I are up in Glacier National Park. Nine grizzlies so far. Taylor took this pic last night. This sow (at least ten feet tall) had a cub following her as she gorged, preparing for hibernation. Ten points for guessing how he took the pic.

Helmet cam
Through binoculars?
He baited the bear with a Crunchwrap Supreme?
Combination of I-phone front facing camera and binoculars?
I'll bet he used the rear facing camera with some kind of magnification. Likely one side of a binocular or even an SLR camera lens.
Telescope and disposable camera?
Through the sight of a National Park-approved grizzly stun rifle.
My guess:
Taylor is ensconced feet first in a drainage culvert.
He's inside one of those bear-proof garbage cans where that bear'll never git 'im!
iPhone 4 camera through binoculars. It was late in the evening and quite dark. So more important than the magnification was the light gathering. Love,
I like Abram's guess the best. Haha!!
