The path of the just....

Denise and RC Jr.

"The path of the just is as the shining light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day." Proverbs 4:18

Tim and I rejoice that Denise Sproul, wife of R.C. Sproul Jr., has entered the full light of glory. But our spirits weep for our brother, R.C. Jr., in the loss of his beloved wife, and for Denise and RC's eight children whose mother lost her battle with leukemia in winning eternity this morning. May God gird them up in faith in the hours and days ahead.

Thank you men. I know you both have experienced loss before. All prayers are appreciated

May God comfort the Sproul family during this difficult time.

So sad to have heard this morning. God's peace with the Sproul family.

Our prayers are with you all. It's so hard to lose a loved one (in my case, my mother) at Christmas time. I cannot imagine losing a spouse, especially then. May God surround you with His love and hold you close to Him. We grieve with you. Carole & Dave Canfield

Praying that the Lord will comfort your hearts in the loss of a dear wife and mother. "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15

May God's promises and Christ's work restore your (and your family's) peace in this time of loss.

Grieving in the Lord with you and your family...

One of RCJr's recent blog posts,, really convicted me about the importance of seeking godly friends. A close friend also recently reminded me that there are friends "for you" and friends "for your marriage" (i.e. the latter don't always tell you what your flesh wants to hear). I am grateful that the Lord has blessed RCJr with such a number of loving, praying, righteous friends during this extremely difficult time for his family.

Thought of Sarah Edwards letter to her child on the death of Jonathan Edwards. Now we do not understand...but one day we will.

My very dear Child,
What shall I say? A holy and good God has covered us with a dark cloud. O that we may kiss the rod, and lay our hands on our mouths! The Lord has done it. He has made me adore His goodness, that we had him so long. But my God lives; and He has my heart. O what a legacy, my husband your father, has left us! We are all given to God; and there I am and love to be.

May the God of all comfort provide comfort for this dear brother, their family, and all who knew her.

So saddened to learn of Mrs. Sproul's death ... may our God and Father give comfort to her husband and their children; as well as to all who loved this woman.

I felt as though I knew her because I've spent many years reading R.C.'s articles and have listened to R.C. Sproul Sr. for about 18 yrs now.

You are all in my prayers.

Upon the death of our daughter during the Christmas season, a wise man told us, "that though our world around us seems to be rejoicing in the birth of Christ, remember that the baby who they are rejoicing in weeps with us in our loss." Remember that He weeps with you too, RC.

We stand with stout hearts
among the family of God
"O death! Where is thy sting?"

We lift you up to the Father
