If anyone still had the slightest lingering doubts about the nature of the Republican party, doubt no longer. Revulsion seizes me.

I'm surprised your surprised at this arrangement.
Didn't hint at being surprised.
Love,
Makes total sense that Trump would be hosting this since the process looks an awful lot like an episode of The Apprentice anyway.
What was it Mencken said? Democracy is the theory that the common man knows what he wants, and deserves to get it good and hard?
Scott; dead on, but ugh. Are there any adults in either major party these days?
This has all the smell of a pay off... give Trump the stage so he wont run as an independent.

The goal is to beat the O-man, and a good percentage of the population still love the man - little less than half (sic). So Trump needs to be onboard as well as all of the other fringes of the GOP.
An English politician called Enoch Powell once observed that "all political careers end in failure". Some seem to start there too.
Not quite sure why Donald Trump is such a big deal here. Most of the "journalists" or media-heads that facilitate these debates are big jokes, too. So I don't know why this is any different.
I'm curious to know how the Baylys are are planning to vote at this point.
For the general amusement:
So far, only two candidates (Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich) have even accepted the wonderful opportunity to attend Trump's reality tele--I mean, Republican debate. I'm sure it will be quite the party (no pun intended). Sarcasm aside, I'm a bit impressed that everyone else has turned down this invitation. Perhaps there are still some vestiges of discernment left after all?
