Now this is weird. I like Mr. Cain a lot, but what in the WORLD? (TB, w/thanks to Aaron)

I'm waiting for a candidate to say he'd send the national guard to close down the clinics.
And, to say publicly, on the news or in a debate, that thinking abortion should be legal is a shameful and unconscionable position, and no one who believes in it is qualified for public office.
Cain: "I'm 100% Pro-Life from conception."
Aside: "If President, I'd abolish all abortion clinics."
Cain: "However, if a woman's raped and wants an abortion, it's her choice" [to murder her child by whatever means remain (e.g., strangulation, suffocation, drowning, etc.)].
Doesn't seem to add up, does it?
It'd be hard to vote for this conservative Baptist pastor.
Amen. Why didn't this happen during the Republican "Golden Age"?
Not all that glitters is gold...
It looks like Mr. Cain has some sort of disconnect between Federal Govt. and personal choices. I think he feels a need to give some sort of credence to the idea of limited Govt. but isn't convicted enough to bear the shame of applying that to a more personal level.
Not sure what to make of his late position acrobatics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q18jMzTWJ9A
More money flows thru the Fed than the congress...so probably no big deal?
Mr. Cain did post on his website that he was referring here to the powers of the president. The president technically does not have the power to effect such things, it is a legislative matter.
To be clear: I disagree with Cain on rape & incest exceptions.
His position is identical to the last five Republican candidates for President: Abortion should be illegal except for the "hard cases." It does cover 95% of abortions.
Furthermore, I don't think there's a single Republican candidate for President who is 100% pro-life. So if you're looking for a no exceptions candidate, you're not going to find one.
I'm very disappointed in Rick Santorum for lying about Cain's position on abortion. I would hope the Catholic Church would discipline him for bearing false witness in such a public way.
