Progress on CTW's new home: walls nearing completion....

(David) Here's a video series of still photos showing progress on CTW's new home this past week.

Except the Lord build the house the builders labor in vain....

And here is how the building is set to appear when finished...

This is excellent! I am looking forward to being there and worshipping with you soon. Praise God.

By the way . . . is that a Mustang or a New Camaro in the lot? ;)

David,
Thank you for posting these photos. Bob, Scott, and I are very happy to be able to see the work in progress.
Glory be to God!

Most excellent. Praise our Heavenly Father from Whom every good and perfect gift comes.

Love,

Dave,

Every time I go to Toledo I drive out Central Avenue to see if the building has started. It's been a while since I have been that way. I'm excited though to do so soon again and see this. Looking forward to God blessing the ministry of Christ the Word with this tool.

I praise the Lord for His awesome work and blessing on us!

So exciting to see God's provision!

Don't forget to let us know when the dedication is scheduled.

I'm really happy for the church (local and universal) that the building is going up. But I'll admit that I'm a bit surprised. If you're going to spend the money to build the church (a decision I don't bemoan you in any way), why build one that looks like a business park structure and not a church?

Dear J. Kru,

There are long and a short answers to your question. The short answer is needs vs. cost. We originally thought we would make a beautiful sanctuary our first priority. But doing so would have left no money for anything else. So we decided on plan b, which was to erect a building and make an architecturally distinctive sanctuary part of an eventual second phase.

Let me add, however, that there are virtues to the style of building we're erecting beyond mere cost efficiency--many of which we've discussed on this blog in the past.

Love in Christ,

David

Pastor David -
I'm a regular reader but not so regular that I read everything, so I have probably skipped those discussions. The architecture issue is indeed difficult - balancing use, cost, and witness.

All the same, I truly rejoice at the blessing of the building. Build it, fill it, and wear it out.
