For those seeking a safe place in Nashville...

(Tim: Here's an introduction to this guest post by a PCA teaching elder and stated clerk of presbytery.) The first time I read the Strategic Plan, I thought it was an elaborate joke. Bryan's video 'proved' to me it was indeed on the table for this year's GA. I know Bryan is rallying the troops to fight for this (and) since you have posted comments on the Strategic Plan, I offer  a couple...

ideas for GA:

1) Establish a group called A Safe PCA. Sadly the web domain is already taken. Or should I say, gone to the dogs...

2) I may take an umbrella with me and open it up when I'm seated on the floor of GA. It would show that I am in a safe place.

If you, or someone you know with some business sense, would like to sell umbrellas with 'Safe Place' printed on them, the proceeds could go to the ministry of your choice.

Feel free to do so.

Is there a more faithful preacher of the Gospel, leader of men, and Christian statesman in the PCA than Bryan Chapell?

I am thankful for his leadership in recognizing and seeking to address clearly needed change in the PCA.

Thank you, Father, for Bryan Chapell and men who would stand with him so that we might continue to be a faithful and effective denomination.

There is one 'safe' PCA pastor already in Nashville (outa bounds?): Ray Ortlund. Acts 29, baby!

Billed as 'A gospel-centered alternative
to Bible Belt religion'...

Oh.

> I may take an umbrella with me and open it up when I'm seated on the floor of GA.

Speaking of umbrellas, Noah built a safe place according to God's specifications, and people weren't interested.

If only he'd built it according to his neighbors' expectations, he could have saved more.

[Or, maybe it would have sunk due to water pouring in all those rooms with private balconies.]
