Our baby-slaughter President gets the Nobel Peace Prize...

(Tim, w/thanks to David L.) For the sake of unborn generations, let the electrons permanently record here on Baylyblog that there were some citizens of these United States who, long before the the Peace Prize was awarded to President Obama, already knew the Nobel had become a joke. President Obama a peacemaker? This man of blood?

Back in 1979 when a Nobel still meant something, Mother Teresa won the Peace Prize and had this to say...

in her acceptance speech:

...I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing - direct murder by the mother herself. And we read in the Scripture, for God says very clearly: Even if a mother could forget her child - I will not forget you - I have carved you in the palm of my hand. We are carved in the palm of His hand, so close to Him that unborn child has been carved in the hand of God. And that is what strikes me most, the beginning of that sentence, that even if a mother could forget something impossible - but even if she could forget - I will not forget you.

And today the greatest means - the greatest destroyer of peace is abortion.

And we who are standing here - our parents wanted us. We would not be here if our parents would do that to us. Our children, we want them, we love them, but what of the millions. Many people are very, very concerned with the children in India, with the children in Africa where quite a number die, maybe of malnutrition, of hunger and so on, but millions are dying deliberately by the will of the mother. And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today. Because if a mother can kill her own child - what is left for me to kill you and you kill me - there is nothing between.

Shame on these Norwegians for their hypocrisy. Shame on President Obama for being the world's leading advocate of baby slaughter.

And shame on you if you voted for him.

Comments

"Shame on these Norwegians."

Agreed. He was only in office for less than 2 weeks, fer cryin' out loud!

"Shame on President Obama."

Agreed. I've read that he'll accept the prize just like he accepted Notre Dame's award to him.

"Shame on you if you voted for him."

Agreed. I held my nose and voted for RINO McCain.

Well said. And let us remember that about as many babies die per day as people died on 9/11. We will start wars around the world for the sake of those 3000 while we have a silent 9/11 every day at America's abortion clinics and do nothing. What's the point of fighting terrorism while our own Osama bin Ladens are quite efficiently slaughtering our children? Even Michael Jackson said "The children are our future." It seems impossible for any nation to maintain itself, let alone recover and grow, while it destroys--in modern parlance--"it's most valuable resource, it's hope for tomorrow."

There is a story in George Gilder's The Sprit of Enterprise about the man who made his first billion selling potatoes to McDonald's and his second investing in Micron Technology. His first success, however, was in the farm panic of the 1920s when every one was slaughtering their cattle because it cost more to feed them than they would get at market. At first, he bought ewes who were twins or triplets where the mother was not able to suckle them all. Later, he was given or bought very cheaply, animals the farmers were going to slaughter. Over-working himself through the winter, he feed his brood and kept them warm. Come spring, the market glut had become a scarcity and he made a handsome profit. The point is, is not one child worth more than many cattle? If we wanted to "get the economy back on track," should we not first invest in our future by placing a moratorium on abortion? We will give up our freedom through higher taxes, greater regulation, and "economic stimulus" but never relinquish the freedom to murder our most beautiful, intelligent, creative, productive, and valuable asset. When the economy does not recover because of our rulers' preference to treat the wound slightly with superficialities, the murderers will only have more reason to continue the slaughter of "unsupportables."

And shame on us if we remain silent.

Michael Foster: "And shame on us if we remain silent."

There are liberal professing Christians who get upset and angry at conservative Christians who refuse to remain silent about what Obama has done in furthering the cause of abortion.

There are liberal professing Christians who want conservative Christians to not have a voice (or to mute their voices) in the Public Square.

Should conservative Christians yield to liberal professing Christians?

That way the fallen world will not have to see conflict between conservative Christians and liberal professing Christians and the Church's witness won't be criticized for all the fighting between Christians.

The only comment I have for this article is AMEN!!

The Nobel Peace Prize is meaningless, and has been since they awarded it to a war criminal, terrorist and mass murderer named Yasser Arafat. They might as well award it posthumously to Jeffrey Dahmer, who was more deserving than Arafat.

How about awarding the Nobel Peace Prize posthumously to abortion doctor, George Tiller, a professing liberal Christian who was murdered in a church?

Tim,

This Norwegian is ashamed of the land of her ancestors.

I truly thought this was a joke, tried hard to maintain that belief, ascribing it to a codeine-induced hallucination. Alas, I am having a rip-roaring reaction to the codeine so will be unable to maintain the illusion/hallucination for much longer!

This is one of the best things I've read about it, posted by a friend as his FB status:

"Chicago's political machine was in turmoil Friday after it was announced that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. Daley's men were supposed to bribe the *Olympic* Committee."

Someday, I'd like to read that committee's justification. Are such things published? After a recent discussion on another blog, Romans 1:20-22 has been reverberating around my head. It's there again this morning.

If I didn't have hope in the one true, living God, I'd be in despair, utter despair.

> Should conservative Christians yield to liberal professing Christians?

Surely you aren't serious? There were pro-Hitler Christians and anti-Hitler Christians. Should the latter minority have kept their mouths shut for some false appearance of harmony? Too much is at stake here.

> That way the fallen world will not have to see conflict...

We are to represent God accurately, and that includes opposing so-called Chistians who defend evil in His name.

I am outraged that Obama advocates to kill babies, but even more mad that the catholic church convinced me that we should vote for him! why did they endorse a man that supported something that the abhore?

Concerned,

The Catholic Church most certainly did not endorse Obama for President, though a few media darlings calling themselves "catholic" did endorse him and campaign for him.

Kamilla

Thank you for that link; Obama's abortion stance is a great shame on this country. Has anyone read Chesterton's "The Everlasting Man," in which he discusses the fall of Carthage, and connects Carthage's fall to their love of money and their treatment of the children, the sacrifice of their children to Moloch, and the finding of mass graves of tiny skeletons hundreds of years later? It is a haunting description.
