Inasmuch as ye did it for the least of these, my brothers...

Pouillon (Tim, w/thanks to David T.) Sixty-three year old James Pouillon had long been active opposing the slaughter of unborn children. This morning he was martyred for his witness as he stood outside Owosso High School ninety miles northwest of Detroit. He frequently could be seen there holding large pictures of dismembered children. His murderer indicated Mr. Pouillon's pictures and witness made him mad.

Let us pray for Mr. Pouillon's family, loved ones, his murderer, and someone to step into Mr. Pouillon's shoes outside Owosso High School now that he's gone.

Judy Climer, president of Flint Right to Life, described Pouillon to the Flint Journal newspaper as "just a nice, elderly gentleman who was disabled, used an oxygen tank and wore leg braces."

In the spot where the Pouillon stood, a portable oxygen tank lay next to a sign with a picture of an unborn child and the word "Life."

Has anyone come across anything about there being a vigil for James Pouillon?

In looking for articles about Pouillon I found this article:

I would tend to say that these stories are lies but there's a lot of disassociation that has to happen in abortion. Abortion makes people positively insane and there's no end to sinful rationalization for many of us.

So I'm all the more thankful to all the Christians who told about how they were pregnant before marriage, or were told of great health risks to child and mother, etc. but had the child anyway. People who adopt, people who call the sin of abortion infinitely evil but still love the fathers and mothers enough to call them to repentance and even open their homes to them (as several families at CGS are currently doing or willing to do).

The world gets quiet when we as Christians show that our money is where our mouth is and that does (even though the world acts like it doesn't) shine over the times when we're hypocrites.

We should tell our Pro-Life stories, and thus how much more the Gospel, from the rooftops to refute the world's darkness.

We're all called to be "protesters" in our lives not just on the street corners and so I thank those who live the truth, by God's grace.

Today I received a link to the Labor Department's new listing of goods produced by child/forced labor. The list is astonishing. Wednesday evening, our President stood before a joint session of Congress and, from all accounts, told outright lies and yet it is the Congressman who dared to vocally call them what they are is the one forced to humble himself in apology. This week a news story broke that a young mother in Britain is trying to get the NHS to change its guidelines on treating premature infants. As it now stands, infants born before 23 weeks are not treated, they are allowed to live or die on their own without medical intervention. Her child was born at 21 weeks and 5 days and she cradled him in her arms as he was breathing on his own for the two hours of life outside the womb Britain's social welfare compassion allowed him.

This is one of those days where I just wish we could all go Home. And I know you understand I don't mean the place where I sleep and shower, etc.

I am thankful to learn of Mr. Pouillon's faithfulness to God's call on his life. Oh that we/I should be so faithful to honor God with a fraction of that kind of faithfulness!

There are millions of women who have a nagging hole deep inside that they don't talk about over coffee or cocktails. They chose abortion out of a difficult or even unasked for situation because they thought that would 'fix' their situation. We know the only One who can fill that hole. We must tell them!

Like Mr. Pouillon if we can tell them before they make that decision how glorious it is to save perhaps two lives at the same time.

What will we do?

Wow. My mom grew up in Owosso and graduated from Owosso High. Seems like such an unexpected place for a shooting like this to take place. Makes me shudder to think of what Bloomington could definitely be capable of.

Will this garner as much media attention as Lutheran abortion doctor George Tiller's murder?

"...Planned Parenthood would never condone any sort of violence against anyone, regardless of their views," said [president and Chief Executive Officer of Planned Parenthood East Central Michigan, Lori] Lamerand.

"...Planned Parenthood would never condone any sort of violence against anyone..." should continue..."except babies, we actively seek and promote their heinous slaughter daily"

Yes, but fetuses don't have 'views' on anything, so that's different.

In fact, Obama's newly confirmed administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, has argued an adult dog or a horse is more rational than a human infant and should therefore be granted similar rights.
