Liberals are liberal with taxpayers' money, not their own...

(Tim) President Obama's charitable contributions prior to being elected to public office a couple years ago were less than one percent. Less than one percent, folks!

And now, occupying the White House with a recent household income in the millions, his giving is lower than other presidents who have preceded him. (Probably with this public embarrassment, his giving will go up in future years.)

Turning to Vice President and Mrs. Joseph Biden...

last year the Bidens gave less than seven-tenths of one percent. Think that's bad?

In past years, the Bidens gave less than one-eighth of one percent.

The average American gives two and a half percent.

It's interesting as well that neither family has done very well saving money, either; until 2005, the Obamas reported no interest or dividend income on Schedule A, and the Bidens were sitting on half a million bucks of mortgage debt as of a year ago.

At age 65, that's a crying shame. No giving, no savings....and they are the ones we're trusting with a three-four trillion dollar budget?

Our nation has lost its mind, financially speaking.

I read the same sort of thing some time ago - where a report said that the Cheneys gave something like 70-80% of their income to charity while a tax return showed that the Gores, when he was VP gave only $300 in one year.

Then, of course, there was the fun comparison between George W. Bush's Crawford ranch home and Gore's main residence in Tennessee.

Reminds me of the thinking that a waiter would prefer no tip to a very small one - with no tip, he is allowed to assume the people forgot, while a small one leaves no doubt.

Giving very small shows that someone knows better.
