A day of grief and triumph in Lusaka...

Drsimonmphuka (Tim) Yesterday, Pastor Conrad Mbewe posted an account of the services held for his dear friend and fellow elder, Dr. Simon Mphuka, who was laid to rest last Friday. The loss to Kabwata Baptist Church there in Lusaka, Zambia, and to the nation itself (Dr. Mphuka was a key leader in the provision of medical care in association with local churches in southern Africa) is large and I ask you to join me in praying for the Lord's comfort for Dr. Mphuka's widow, Lillian, and her three daughters, as well as our brothers in Christ there in Lusaka.

Simon died at a very tender ctitical, most productive and prosperous stage of his life. However,...'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose'.

He was a great christian husband, father, (son, brother, friend, colleague, leader, mentor, servant) and CEO. His life-long resolve was to honour God with great faith and excellent work.

He will be remembered for his large character in life: humble, generous, caring, selfless, godly with a zeal for making a difference in God's kingdom.
