Christ Church Ministerial Conference: Father Hunger...

FatherhungerRegister now for the Christ Church Ministerial Conference on Father Hunger October 16 & 17 in Houston, Texas. The conference is aimed at pastors, elders, deacons, and those aspiring to the work of these offices. David and I attended  the conference last year and greatly appreciated it. We hope we'll see you there. (From time to time, I'll put this ad back up on the top of the page, so please look below to see if there are other more recent posts. Thanks.)

I'm assuming the 6:45 AM is a misprint. I sure hope so for your sake.

It's just a ploy to assure I'm there by Noon.

Tim, you sound like you operate one what, around here, we refer to Uganda time.

Kamilla

Uganda time. Very interesting. I always call it Bayly time. haha. just teasing. XOXOXO

The schedule is correct. The early start allows the break to be from 7:45 AM to 8:00 PM.

Barbara,

There is a reason why it is jokingly and affectionately called, "Church of the Late Sheep."

:)

No one else is going to say it, so the design geek will. That ad is beautiful. Hats off to the designer.

I was going to say it, but had to make the cheap jab instead. It is beautiful, and almost made me tear up, for how it juxtaposed feminine youthful vulnerability next to the words "father hunger." Lovely.

I was thinking it was haunting.

No?

Kamilla

I'll go if anyone is willing to pay for my flight and conference costs. Any takers?

Oh I am all over this!!! Conroe is about a 30 minute drive from Houston.

Is this conference appropriate for the lay person?

But the best thing about the design is how the blue in the girl's skirt perfectly matches Tim's shirt in the photo at the top of the page.

Seriously, I've said it before, but it's worth repeating: I am heartened that this topic was chosen, happy that Tim will be among the speakers, and hopeful that the ripple effect through the CREC in particular will be quite powerful.

> But the best thing about the design is how the blue in the girl's skirt perfectly matches Tim's shirt...

Better and more basic than the color is the fact that it is a skirt. Capri pants that were the identical blue (or any other color) would not be the least bit "haunting," as Kamilla called it.
