Sharpton, Imus, and Jackson: birds of a feather...

So is this the only blog in the world that hasn’t commented on the Don Imus thing? Well, here’s our comment: Don Imus is disgusting. But he’s been disgusting for a long, long time. That’s why CBS hired him and paid him so well.

So the whole Rutgers thing is just a modern-day counterpart to the medieval morality plays. Today, public personas are supposed to know which disgusting is fine and which isn’t. Imus blew it and lost his job. No tears from us.

For our part, we apologize to the ladies of the Rutgers basketball team for the despicable behavior of this white man as well as the cultural climate that allows such a man to get rich spewing his filth on our air waves.

But this cloud, too, has a silver lining. America may finally have had enough of the race-baiting triplets, Imus, Jackson, and Sharpton, together with all their bottom-dwelling, scum-sucking friends. You want proof? Check out this editorial by Joe Hicks, a man I’d like to have as a friend.

If only you are right about America having had enough of the race-baiting! What most folks seem to forget is that what *really* is alive and well is sin and discrimination is just one form.

If you want to talk discrimination, walk a mile in my shoes. I have been the victim of one of the last socially acceptable forms of discrimination. More than once. One time my job was in such jeopardy because of it that an attorney friend volunteered to begin legal proceedings on my behalf (pro bono, by the way!).

But you know what? That prejudice is their problem. I refuse to let it become mine by mostly ignoring their reactions. And please don't mistake this for sympathy bid. These days I am laughing about the past much nore than I have any right to.

Kamilla

Dear Kamilla,

What, you're Roman Catholic?

Smiling.

This is about a lot more than Imus: this is about an agenda by the Left to silence political views they don't like. Imus opened the door with his foolishness, they're going to use him to demand more federal regulation of so-called "hate speech".

Say goodbye to the ability to speak about Biblical sexual morality if these Communists are not stopped.

Will the real Uncle Tom's... please stand up.

As a minority, I can say that I'm much more disgusted in the fact that Don Imus got treated so poorly after he apologized. It was painful to see this country's lack of forgiveness displayed out in the open for all to see.

I'm glad that the Rutgers women's basketball team didn't stoop as low as the rest of this nation.

[Alex:] "As a minority, I can say that I'm much more disgusted in the fact that Don Imus got treated so poorly after he apologized. It was painful to see this country's lack of forgiveness displayed out in the open for all to see."

Yes, and why don't the self-righteous Reverends Sharpton and Jackson ever apologize for anything?

Yesterday my dad sent me this interesting video interview of Jason Whitlock:
