The Best Secular Magazine Article Ever?

It's now been ten years since the single best article I have ever read in a secular magazine was published. The magazine was the Atlantic Monthly. The article was On Abortion: A Lincolnian Position by George McKenna.

Interestingly, I saw a sidebar in a recent Atlantic which showed that this is the most accessed article in the Atlantic Online website which contains every article ever published in the Atlantic.
